Cagers Meet Proviso in Return Tilt on Saturday New Trier cagers will resume their basketball schedule and open the new year with a return tilt with Proviso High school tomorrow evening at 7:30 o'clock. Although the defeat at the hands of Proviso on December 21 by a score of 26-15 still somewhat rankles in their memory, the Gray and Green heavyweights are preparing with un- dimmed confidence for the invasion of the Maywood five and will endeavor to give an entirely different account of themselves on the home floor. The lightweights, on the other hand, have no such memories, having destroyed the aspirations of the May- wood feather-five toward doubling the victory and having literally and figur- atively "carried home the bacon" to the tune of 33-8. For that reason they enter the conflict Saturday de- cidedly the favorites and with every expectation of doubling their winnings over Proviso. A game with Morton High school has been scheduled for Friday of next week and will be played at Morton.
