Professor Potter thinks that international relations, if presented properly, will be studied from the sheer interest they arouse and that while the duty to society and "all that sort of thing" is not to be underestimated as a valid viewpoint, it has been overworked. On the assumption that the news- paper is the school book of the adult, the afternoon session will be devoted to a discussion of the value of the press in the study of international re- lations. James G. McDonald of the Foreign Policy association of New York will speak on the subject, "The Press and the Education of the Adult in International Affairs." Leading journalists and educators will partici- pate in the discussion. : Carleton W. Washburne, superin- tendent of Winnetka schools, is a member of the committee on arrange- ments.
