May 5, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 21 Temple Players to Give Performance of "This Is London" (Contributed) What an amusing situation--when a typical American family and a typi- cal English family get together. That's just what happens in "So This Is Lon- don," a three-act comedy presented by the Temple Players of the North Shore Congregation Israel, Saturday evening, May 19, at the Temple's so- cial center, Vernon and Lincoln ave- nues, Glencoe. Indeed you will laugh heartily. This farce is presented by the younger group of the temple who so success- fully put on "The Youngest" a short while ago. Those of the younger set in North shore suburbs who are tak- ing part in this play are the Misses Marjorie and Jane Hill and Mrs. Ar- thur Frank of Wilmette, Miss Doro- thy Kinstler, Robert Koretz and Mil- ton Klee of Glencoe, Manuel and Alexander Magnus, and Arthur Longini, of Winnetka, Julius Fried- lander and Mark Kalischer of Evans- ton. Tickets are on sale and may be had from Miss Helen Metz of 854 Lin- coln avenue, Winnetka, or at the door. The performance will start at 8:20 o'clock. Benjamin F. Buck, 544 Greenwood avenue, Glencoe, principal of the Nicholas Senn High school, will be the speaker May 9, at the meeting of the Armstrong Parent-Teacher asso- ciation. Music will be furnished by the Nicholas Senn chorus. pia Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lay, 1408 Edge- wood lane, who have been in Cali- fornia all winter, returned to their home Tuesday. They spent a delight- ful six months motoring west and back. McGuire Home Scene of Quiet Wedding Service Miss Florence McGuire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Fred McGuire of Winnetka, was married to Elbert R. Herlocker of Wilmette on Saturday evening, April 28, at 8 o'clock, at a quiet service performed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. McGuire. Dr. Hor- ace G. Smith of the Wilmette Metho- dist church performed the ceremony. Mrs. Walter J. McGuire, a sister-in- law of the bride, was the only at- tendant, and Harwood Herlocker, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Herlocker will be at home after September 1, at 119 Tudor place, Kenilworth, after they return from a motor trip to the East. John Herlocker of Freeport, father of the groom, was an out of town guest at the wedding. --before you shop read the ADS 703 DAVIS STREET fabric and color. and value. 1 Group priced at $19.00 SPRING HATS Mrs. Barnett, with her knowledge of what will be best liked by her patrons, personally selected this great MAY OPENING HAT SALE.
