May 12, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 57 DID YOU GET WHAT YOU CAME FOR? Just why did you come, anyway? To have greater privacy? yes. Surely, To have a little more elbow room-- purer air and more sunshine? Assur- edly so. To get away from the noise and dust and dirt? To escape the whirring cars, and to protect your children from the dangers of excessive traffic? Does it seem like "country" where you are now, or just another house on just another street? Have you got what you came for? Out here in Westmoor Trail the meadow lark still sings. As far away from railroad lines as you can get and still be in the Village to enjoy the many conveniences the Village offers. The wide open spaces surrounding-- community golf course immediately adjacent on the west and continuing both north and south. This will prob- ably always remain--at least in your |. life-time and mine--and is some assur- ance that here the meadow lark may continue to sing. Because the lots are laid out to have a frontage of 125 feet or more, with restrictions making sure that no house can be nearer than 60 feet to any other house is an assurance of privacy and exclusiveness. Here will be a little community almost all to itself. Here you will enjoy all the beauties of the wonderful Skokie where nature paints Her mas- terpieces for you--ever changing--to suit all moods. Here you will get the renewed hope and fresh inspiration of glorious sun- sets, which only visions of glorious sunsets can give. Did you get what you came for? Have you satisfied the original impulse that brought you out? Does not a homesite in Westmoor Trail satisfy all these requirements? No through traffic--just those few cars to serve the eighteen homes or less on this quarter mile tract. In this locality are some of the really fine homes in Winnetka. They built fine homes here because they preferred this. locality over any other. Of eighteen lots laid out in this small tract six of them have been acquired by Winnetka residents who have lived in Winnetka long enough to know that they don't want to live elsewhere and have selected homesites here for their ultimate home. Restrictions Assure High-Class Homes Size of Plots One of the first things necessary to assure a desirable home-site is the size of the plots to be built upon. This has already been provided. The two lots on the West end, overlooking the Golf Course or Village Park, front 208 feet on Westmoor, the one on the North having a depth of 165 feet and POP lapis ; sn rT HIBBARD ROAD che one on the South having a depth of 175 feet. Immediately adjoining lots on the East have a frontage of 150 feet, and the remainder continuing East having a frontage of 125 feet each, except for the two lots on Hib- bard Road, which have a frontage on Westmoor of 175 feet each. Homes shall be built not nearer than 30 feet from the East and West divid- ing lines, assuring at least 60 feet be- tween houses, yet giving ample space for the construction of beautiful homes of any desired type. No detached garages or outbuildings--each home to be one harmonious whole. Homes restricted to cost not less than $20,000.00. Everything will be new-- landscaping to beautify and not to ob- scure, Advantages of Location Here you have the advantages of the country plus all of the conven- iences of the Village; off the main thoroughfare; no through traffic to endanger your children or disturb your peace of mind; freedom from dust and smoke and dirt. Quiet--peaceful--serene--and beauti- ful. Where nature is working con- tinuously to keep you duly appreciative of her grandeur--painting beautiful pictures--ever changing--to fit all moods. Schools Nearby Primary school a quarter mile, Skokie Junior High a half mile, makes easy walking distance for your chil- dren. Less than a mile to the Hubbard Woods Station, a little more to the Elm Street Station. A Community Golf Course at your door, a round before breakfast and still make your regular train, or a round after the daily grind and home for dinner. A playfield for your chil- dren. Can anything offer more? Will you be satisfied with anything less? At Reasonable Prices The plots already sold have been purchased by Winnetka residents who have looked for years for more desir- able Winnetka locations -- men who know values--who appreciate its ad- vantages. Call me up and make an appointment to see Westmoor Trail. If it is worth considering at all, it is worth consid- ering all its advantages. Find out who your neighbors will be, what the plan of development is, then decide. There are so few tracts available-- and, once gone--always GONE. The price is much less than anything comparable, even less than nearby acreage. GLEN C. BULL 500 Maple Avenue Phone Winnetka 1016 or Central 6970
