A Court of Award and many troop picnics followed the afternoons ac- tivities. Scoutmasters' Key Issued A training course for Scout leaders extending over a period of five years will be entered upon next fall by the North shore Area council, which will make it possible for local leaders to work for a Scout Leaders' key which is comparable to the Eagle Scout badge earned by Scouts. The major features of the plan in- clude a course on the elements of Scoutmastership followed the next year by an advanced course on the principles of Scoutmastership. The following course will give leaders the principles of First Aid and other spe- cialized courses. The Scoutmasters' key is something new and being ac- cepted with great enthusiasm. Results of the Big Fun Rally More than 300 Scouts, parents and friends attended the big fun rally last Saturday afternoon which started with a big foolishness parade, led by the drum, fife and bugle corps, the troop dressed as clowns, Indians, in pajamas, etc. Shoe scramble was won by Har- old Oppen of Troop 55, first place; Nesbit Movery, Troop 55, second place; Harry Weese, Troop 13, third place; Dorren Nygaard, Troop 13, fourth place, and Frank May, Troop 52, fifth place. Wool Hunt--First place, Troop 9, Wilmette; second place, Troop 21, Glencoe; third place, Troop 61, North- brook. Undress Relay--First place, Troop 13, Kenilworth; 2nd place, Troop 9, Wilmette; third place, Troop 2, Wil- mette. Fire Building--First place, Troop 55, Glenview; second place, Troop 3, Wil- mette; third place, Troop 13, Kenil- worth. In connection with the fun rally there was held a big Court of Award for the entire council. Many Merit Badges were handed out and several boys received Star and Life Rank and Eagle award was presented to Claude Hamilton of Troop 13, Kenilworth. Scout leaders' big outdoor meeting is to be held at the Cabin-in-the-Woods on Monday evening May 21, at 6:30 P.M. Mrs. Coolidge Praises Milan Lusk at Recital Milan Lusk of Wilmette, interna- tionally known violinist, now on his way for his European concert tour, substituted for Florence Macbeth, so- prano, at*a concert at the Congres- sional club in the Pan American build- ing, Washington, D. C., May 3, scoring a veritable ovation. Mrs. Calvin Cool- idge, in whose honor the event was given, came up to the violinist compli- menting him on his artistry and success.
