June 2, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 9 Hospital Festival Set for June 16 to Have Many Features Plans for the festival to be held on the grounds of the St. Francis hospital June 16 under the direction of the St. Francis Hospital Foundation are as- suming very definite shape during these last few weeks before the event. The chairmen of the committees with their various members and every mem- ber of the executive board of the Foundation are working steadily for the success of this big affair. The personnel of all the committees or groups has not as yet been made public but it is announced that Mrs. George Ludwig of Evanston is work- ing with a group of Wilmette women who are making twenty quilts to be sold. Mrs. Ludwig also is in charge of all the merchandise booths and has given assurance that everything sold will be worthwhile and priced within reason. Mrs. F. W. Lenfestey is to have charge of the arrangements for the continuous cafeteria luncheon to be served on the grounds. Various groups from other organiza- tions 'along the north shore, aside from the Foundation, will also help with the Festival. The Knights of Columbus are to take charge of a booth and groups of Boy Scouts will manage games of quoits and horse- shoes on the grounds. There will be a kindergarten for the very young children and also for those of regular kindergarten age, conducted by girls from National Kindergarten and Ele- mentary college, so that mothers may be free to play bridge in the Nurses' Home, shop at the different booths or witness some of the playlets which will be given by various Drama groups. Proceeds from the affair are to be used for the expense of outfitting and operating the emergency rooms which were recently opened. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Stanton Fetcher of 82 Bryant avenue are expecting their son, Edwin Stanton, Jr., to return home from Harvard on June 10, and Lee to return from Cornell a few days before. They will leave with their family on June 15, for Forest lodge, their home near Trevers City, Michi- gan. They will be away for three months.
