June 16, 1928 WINNETKA TALK APPRECIATE LIBRARY Annual Report Shows Circulation In- crease of 2,000 Volumes per Month; Many New Borrowers An increase in circulation of 2,000 volumes per month, with an average increase of one hundred new borrow- er's cards per month, has occurred since the re-opening of the Winnetka Public library, according to the annual report of the library for the year end- ing March 31, 1928. The report also states that a gift of $10,000 was received from John Bross Lloyd for the purpose of re- decorating and furnishing Lloyd hall for an adult reading room, and that the Garden club of Winnetka is di- recting the planning and planting on the library grounds. Alterations and additions to the li-. brary are now being completed at a cost of $67,661, the report shows. There are 17,224 volumes in the li- brary and the total number of regis- tered borrowers is 4,654. She will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Teich at their sum- mer home in McHenry. Upon her ar- rival home she will leave immediately for an extended trip with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Harrison, through California, visiting Banff and Lake Louise on the trip out and re- turning by way of Seattle, where they have taken a cottage for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison's son, Lee, will join them there later when he comes down from Alaska.
