McIntosh Is Named President of N. U. Foundation Arthur T. McIntosh, 521 Roslyn road, Kenilworth, has been elected pres- ident of the Northwestern University Foundation, it was announced this week by Thomas H. Gonser, executive secretary. Mr. McIntosh was graduat- ed from Northwestern in 1900, and has been in the real estate business in Chi- cago since 1907. The other new officers of the foun- dation are: vice-president, Vernon R. Loucks, a Chicago attorney; secretary, John Cadmus, former president of the Chicago Dental society; and treasurer, George P. Ellis of Chicago, a certified public accountant. The Northwestern University Foun- dation was organized a little more than a year ago for the purpose of raising income rather than capital funds from among the university's alumni. The first year more than $25,000 was con- tributed by 1500 alumni. This amounts to income at 6 per cent on a capital of $500,000. Money contributed to the foundation will be used for teachers' salaries, research work and loan funds. Miss Eleonore Schafer Weds Harold E. Two Wilmette Artists To Sail on Trip Abroad Among the many north shore young people spending the summer in Europe will be two young Wilmette artists, Miss Eleanor Kremer and Miss Helen Peacock.
