MAY NOW WASH WALL PAPER The vogue for the "washable" in home decorations continues and re- cent developments in the paint field have introduced a wall paper lacquer which, applied, makes no change in the appearance of the paper, but it makes it possible to wash the wall paper with soap and water. Straus & Co. Kenilworth, with an August gain of 441 percent, eclipsed all other suburbs. Ev- anston had the largest total of any suburb reporting for the month, or $1,699,950, which was 110 percent gain over August last year and 61 percent gain over July.
