There were divisions for boys and girls under 12 years and for those from 12 to 15 years old. Be- sides these events there were junior boys' and girls', women's, mens', and married women's divisions. In the Junior boys', Francis Stanton defeated Philip Burnham in three straight sets. The men's tournament has not yet been finished. The Junior girls' division was won by Barbara Holden when she defeated Jean Armstrong. In the Women's singles Barbara Holden, the defending champion, de- feated Adalaide Ball in straight sets. This class, which is a regular North- western university course conducted jointly by the School of Speech and the Drama Club of Evanston under the Town and Gown Playshop move- ment, will be taught again this year by Theodore B. Hinkley, Changes inaugurated by iis spon- sors for this term call for ho'ding the meeting in the Public library rather than on the campus and for charging the university fee for registration in the course. It will meet in the north room of the library basement from 10 to 12 Tues- day mornings. Registrations will be received at the first meeting of the class, and will be welcome from all people who wish to learn to write drama, according to Mrs. Alice C. D. Riley, one of its sponsors.
