Walsh, of 3233 Eastwood avenue, Chicago, crashed into a car driven by Fred Dameske, of 879 Ash street, Winnetka, Sunday morning at 8 o'clock, result- ing in painful injuries to Joe Danv:s, age 21, residing on Goethe stre:t, Chi- cago, a passenger in the car driven by Walsh. The accident occurred on Hibb urd road at the entrance of the Skokie Playfield golf course. Walsh was driving north, at a high rate of speed, according to Officer Frank Rayburn, when he struck the car driven by Dameske as the latter turned into the golf grounds. Lawrence, one of Chicago's prominent and successful pianists, and Miss Dorothy Tatman, violinist. Tatman is an artist pupil of Ruth Ray, the well known violin- ist. Miss , Lawrence is \ well and fa- vorably known in Chicago not only as a teacher but as a soloist of excellent attain - ments. She recently ap- peared in Orches- Helen B. Lawrence tra Hall as soloist with the Columbia School Symphony Or- chestra, directed by Ludwig Becker. Many of the younger pianists of the city are members of her class and only last season her pupil, Corinne Byington, appeared as soloist with the orchestra in the Chicago auditorium. Miss Lawrence is a past president of Mu Iota Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, a national honorary musical sorority and a former vice-president of the Society of American Musicians. She will be in the Winnetka studio Wed- nesday of each week.
