State street, Chicago, on Saturday morning, Nov- ember 3, at 11 o'clock. It is a sectional meeting for the sev- eral divisions of the club. There will be a special program of educational values for those interested in--pre-kin- dergarten, kindergarten, primary, in- termediate, supervision and teacher training. At Lincoln on November 1, she will speak before the normal training group on "Children's Interests in Literature," and before 1500 members of the Rural Teachers institute on "Present Trends in Childhood Education." Miss Baker will speak on this same subject before the primary kindergar- ten section of the association in Omaha on November 2, and to the intermedi- ate group on recent scientific studies in the teaching of reading. While in Nebraska Miss Baker will be the guest of the Omaha Primary- Art League to Hear Charles Sabens Kelly at November Meeting The North Shore Art league held a meeting Thursday evening, October 25, at the home of its president, Lionel Robertson of Highland Park, which was considered socially and ar- tistically successful. A large number of members from Wilmette, Winnetka and Glencoe as well as the towns fur- ther north attended. The next monthly conference will be Thursday, November 22 at the home of the Von Wagenen Allings of Lake Forest when Charles Sabens Kelly, curator of the Oriental department at the Art Institute and dean of the Art School, will be the guest of honor and speak on "Oriental Art." Trimble, of the University of Illinois, state school inspector for this district, who visited the school on Wednesday. Mr. Trimble was well satisfied with the work of the students and assured the faculty that the school would remain on the list of recognized schools.
