They are for the guidance of Santa Claus, it appears, for whose visit to Winnetka this season, greater prepara- tions have been made than ever before. The tree decorations in the parks were provided by the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce, its committee in charge of the work having for its chairman, O. L. Porter. The Chamber furnishes the decorations, which were so effectively arranged by members of the Village electrical department, and the current for lighting the trees every night, is being furnished by the village. Winnetka stores are also decorated for the Christmas holidays, where ap- propriate stocks for the season's trade are being displayed. Most of the stores, it is announced, will be open evenings until Christmas, beginning tonight.
