December 22, 1928 WINNETKA TALK Select Five N. T. Men as All-Star Suburban Gridders Five New Trier High school foot- ball players are placed on the first team of an all-north suburban selection by Walter J. Harris, sports writer for the Chicago Evening Post. They are: Art Wienecke, New Trier captain; Carl Hall end; Thompson, tackle; Hunter Hicks, quarter-back, and Morris Nel- son, halfback. Mr. Harris made his selection from the four high school teams in the north surburban district--New Trier, Evans- ton, Deerfield, and Waukegan. Of the remaining six places on the firs tteam, Evanston got four, and Deerfield and Waukegan, one each. New Trier also copped four places on the second all-north surburban team--Milton Guy at end, Slim Ros- siter at tackle, Charles McArthur at guard, and Al Richards at halfback. This year's team at New Trier was one of the best in the history of the school. It went through the season undefeated, sinking most of its op- ponents under decisive scores.
