'We congratulate you on your foresight and on your accomplish- To Play Angular Violins at Chicago Concert Jan. 3 To demonstrate the first four and only existing cubistic diamond-shaped violins, conceived by Herman Paquette last year, a concert will be given at Orchestra hall, Chicago, the evening of Jan. 3. The violins will be played by Misha Livshutz, famous Russian violin artist. He will include some of his own com- positions in the program. Mr. Paquette has had 54 years' ex- perience in violin-making. These angu- lar, rather than curved violins, are reputed to have proved a great success and it is claimed that they are the greatest in tone quality and volume of any violins in the world. Mr. Paquette, who has been playing his violin in informal concerts in the homes of Ev- anston friends, expects to start in Jan- uary on a tour round the world for the purpose of demonstrating the new type of instrument in the leading cities of the United States and Europe. YOUNG PEOPLE MEET The Winnetka Young People's club will meet tomorrow evening at o'clock at Community House. The subject will be the "Importance of Rec- reation" and Alan Hoagland will be the leader. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schwartz, 187 Ridge avenue, had a family dinner party on Christmas day. The Ralph Gromanns, of Wilmette, their daughter, Caroline, and her fiance were among the guests. Colorful Ceremony Marks Ordination of Three Ministers With colorful ceremony and elabor- ate ritual, three young men were or- dained into the orders of the Episcopal church at St. Luke's church, Evanston, Friday morning. A large congregation gathered for the services at which the Rt. Rev. Charles P. Anderson, bishop of the Diocese of Chicago, conducted ordina- tion ceremonies and celebrated the Holy Communion, and at which the Rev. George Craig Stewart, who that day celebrated the 25th anniversary of his own ordination to the Episcopal priesthood, preached the ordination ser- mon. The candidates ordained included the Rev. John B. Hubbard of Evanston, who recently came to the staff of St. Luke's from Escanaba, Mich. where he had served as minister in the Pres- byterian church, and who was ordained deacon. He was presented for ordina- tion by the Rev. Dr. Stewart. The Rev. Otis Jackson, assistant at St. Paul's, Kenwood, was presented for ordination to the priesthood by the Rev. Dr. Thomas, rector of St. Paul's, and the Rev. I. M. Morse, a student at Nashotah seminary, was presented for deacon's orders by the Rev. Leland Danforth of Kenilworth. Special music of inspiring and beauti- ful character was sung by a large choir, and the acolytes assisted with the serv- ices.
