As usual we have a certain par OMt of our pupils who are not $fcwinj? work in part of their subjects. .We desire to appeal to the parents to j investigate as closely as possible the cause for these failures. We find that the cause is often due to a lack of a proper amount of study. It is at this point that * the- parents could greatly assist their children in their ihisrh school work. Any pupil who is failing in one subject should place ! from an hour to an hour and a half of ening of the school ime of the study e pupil is not outside disturat any pupil who io is placing an averto an hour and a half of. school study should be bring up his work to passing few weeks. If they are not able to do So it Would be well for the parents to confer with me at the office and have a personal conversation in ! regard to- the matter. We are very anxious that no pupils fail in their work. Failing in one subject means a loss of one-fourth of a year .to the student. No student can afford the loss of this type. We hope that by the co-operation of pupils, parents and teachers we can prevent a larger portion of our failures. Signed, C. H. Duker. 1 Notice has just been received from State High School Visitor H. A. Hollister that the McHenry community high school has been accredited for the school year of 1923-24.
