The McHenry choral class, assisted by the band, gave a concert in the city hall Thursday evening. Miss Anna Bickler, W. H. Noonan, John Barbian, W. E. Howe, F. J. Karges, Misses Nettie Schiessle and Rose Justen assisted. A wedding of special interest to McHenry people occurred in " Elgin last Thursday, when Almon C. Granger and Miss Clara Curry of Elgin were united in marriage. He is at present connected with the Union Stock yards in Chicago. Simon Stoffel, manager of the Me* Henry and West McHenry exchanges, of the Chicago Telephone company, has just made a contract by which long distance telephones will be placed in the residences of C. C. Chapell and S. S. Chapell. Mrs. Thomas W. Kimball, an old resident of this village, passed away on Tuesday. She was born in New Hampshire and came to this section v.hen seven years of age. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J.
