Hawley on Wednesday, March 9. Quite a crowd was in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon of Antioch spent Thursday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Bacon. Mrs. Lewis Schroeder and daughter, Jessie, are visiting in Chicago for a few days. . Bert Sutton of Solon spent Thursafternoon in Ringwood. Mr. and Mirs. Charles Stephensen spent Thursday afternoon in Woodstock. The Home Circle will meet at the home of Mrs. James Ladd the second Wednesday in April. I Highland Park surprised their grandmother on Sunday, March IS, at a birthday dinner, her birthday being the 14th. A delicious dinner was served by the granddaughters and Mrs. Frank Fay. An enjoyable day was spent by all. Grandma Spaulding is in good health at this writing, it being her 83 birthday. On Sunday, March 20 at 10:45 a. m. there will be a meeting with special musical features and speakers at the M. W. A. hall at Ringwood. At 2:30 p. m. of the same day there will be another meeting at the Keystone schoolhouse. A group of talented young men and women from Wheaton will b* at both places and will furnish an interesting program. A hearty invitation is extended to each and ever) one to come out and enjoy this rare treat Mrs. Matt Welt r spent Sunday morning at McHenry. About twenty-two friends pleasantly surprised Grandma Spaulding on Monday afternoon it being her 83rd birthday. Two pretty candles with red shades stood at each end of the table and a bouquet of flowers as the center piece. Two birthday cakes, one with 83 candles was the center of attraction. Ice cream was served. Hymns, testimonies and prayers furnished the afternoon's entertainment. The many friends of the Ringwood Prayer Band wish grandma many more happy birthdays. Miss Frances Young and Miss Viola Engel spent Saturday night at a party in honor of Wayne Eiberger near Spring Grove. Mrs. Clay Bager spent Monday morning in McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stephensen spent Monday afternoon in Woodstock. Miss Joe Britz spent Sunday in ths home of Miss Frances Young. Mrs. James Rainey spent Monday in McHenry with her mother.
