Notice is hereby given to the legal voters of the Town of McHenry, County of McHenry, Illinois, that the annual township meeting and election of said Town will take place Tuesday, the 5th day of April proximo, being the first Tuesday in said month. Hartman and Mrs. R. L. Dutield and grandson were Woodstock visitors Tnosday. Little Wesley Skinner of Woodstock visited his grandparents a part of Mon­ day and Tuesday. Mrs. Jaiaes Whyte of Crystal Lake was a business visitor here the latter part of last week. Rev. Oiesselbrechtof Woodstock spent the latter part of the week with Ridge field friends and relatives. Mrs. Rose Goddard visited with her daughter, Mrs. Sidney Reed, in Wood­ stock last week Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. D.- L. Gibson drove to Woodstock Sunday and spent the day with the latter's father, I, Cline. Mrs. A. Murphy and daughter, Mrs. Gieg^elbrecht, of Woodstock visited Mr. and Mrs. J G. Hartman Friday. Miss Bethel Shelt of Woodstock was entertained by Mrs. Alfred Anners a part of Friday and Saturday last. Rev. A. Sillars filled the vacancy at Elizabeth Presbyterian church Sunday morning and evening, returning home Tuesday morning. A. Josephenson and wife entertained their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Henry Wil­ son, and two children of Harvard the latter part of last week. Grandma Hudson, who has been vis­ iting her daughter, Mrs. C. F. French, and family, returned to her home in McHenry the first of last week. Mr. and Mrs. H. Nelson entertained Martin Nelson of McHenry Saturday last. Mr. Nelson returned recently from a several months' visit with rela­ tives in Sweden. The C. E. society concert held at the church Friday evening was a success. The silver collection was over eight dollars, the proceeds to be used for sup­ plies for the society. Mr. Olmstead is on the sick list. While on business at the Borden faetory recently Mr. Olmstead fell down a stair. He is very badly bruised and unable to walk. Fortunately no bones were broken. W. Jaynes has moved his family on a farm north of Woodstock, where he will remain for a year. He has rented his home here to Mr. Barber of Chicago. Mr. Barber's son will move to the Lind- sley farm with the privilege of purchas­ ing in the fall if satisfactory. SCHOOL NOTES. Miss Steel of Roscoe visited school' Tuesday. Donald KnilanB is back after a three weeks' absence. There will be no school next week as there is teachers' institqte at Wood­ stock. Genevieve Goddard, Pearl Reed and Harold Lucas, of Crystal Lake visited school Friday. The following pupils ranked first the past month: Grade five, Mildred French; grade six, Rachel French; grade seven, Helen Whyte and Olive Hessel- grave. H. Gracy attended the funeral of a relative in Chicago last Sunday. Mrs. J. M. Phalin spent a few days recently with Woodstock relatives. Mr. Whiston of Holcombville is shred­ ding corn in this vicinity this week. Mrs. C. E. Martin visited her parents at Griswold Lake a few days last week. Thos. Church of West Chicago spent Sunday with his sister, Mrs. Anderson. T. R. Anderson and daughter, Glenys, spent Sunday afternoon at Crystal Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Frank McMillan and little daughter were McHenry callers Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Peck and son, Earl, of Holcombville were callers at McMillan's Sunday. Mrs. Robert Anderson of Richmond spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of her son, T. R. Anderson. Mrs. John Bolger and daughter, Hel­ en, of Woodstock and Phil Kane of Tus­ caloosa, Ala., were visitors at J. M. Phalin's Sunday.
