INVALID DIES Arlen Klein, 19, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klein, Woodstock, died last week. An invalid all his life, Arlen went info a coma suddenly and did not regain con» sciousness. Born with a spinal condition which made the lower half of his body useless, Arlen nevertheless had a bright, quick mind and was interested in all of the activities in the outside world. He followed sporting events with such close interest that he was able to predict the winners in many fields with amazing accuracy. Also a fine pianist, Arlen spent hours at his, piano and has had two original compositions published. One of them was sung at the .McHenry county junior fair last year. McHenry Council sponsored the degree, with candidates from Lake Forest, Wilmette and Waukegan councils participating. Congratulations and welcome to these new members. We trust they will be active members and we urge them to attend meetings, also to participate in the various council activities with the same enthusiasm that they portrayed during the exemplification of the first degree.
