Circles Plan Bake Hales Circles 3 and 4 of the W.S.C.S; of the Methodist church are sponsoring a bake sale, to be held Saturday, Aug. 5. at the George Justen furniture store on the corner of Elm and Green streets. The goods will go on sale at 10 a.m., featuring homemade baked beans, cakes, cookies and pies. Any donation of bakery goods will be greatly appreciated by members of the circles. Miss Carol Buethe of Marengo, 18 years old, a tall and lovely brunette, Was selected as Miss McHenry County last Thursday evening over five other entries at the county fair held in Woodstock.
