She carried a bouquet of white mums with a single orchid in the center. Mrs. Audrey Miller, as matron of honor, chose a winterberry -pelveteen dress, styled with scalloped neckline and sleeves. She Wore a bonnet-effect headpiece and carried a bouquet of yellow mums. Miss Patricia Kurbyun, sistef'of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, at tired in a gown similar to that of the matron of honor. Richard Hyatt served as' best man and Bill Gentemin was groomsman. For her daughter's wedlng, Mrs, Kurbyun chose a dress of black crepe, with blue trimmings, and Wore a corsage of yellow mums. S^mitt, became the bride of Mr. Victor R. Bassi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor S. Bassi of Lilymoor. The wedding was solemnized by Rev. Fr. Eugene Baumhofer at S>:30 o'clock. The adult choir furnished the nuptial music. Sister Andreella at the organ. with James Lennon, soloist, singing "Panis Angelicus" arild "On This Day O Beautiful Mother." Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar, lovely in an ivory satin dress, styled with mandarin collar and long train. Her fingertip veil was caught up by a crown of orange blossoms and she carried a cascade bouquet of white mums. . Miss Lucille Knox a close friend, acted as maid of honor, attired in a rose-colored satin strapless dress, with jacket, styled with mandarin collar. On her head she wore a braided velveteen band in rosecolor and carried a bouquet of blue mums. The bridesmaids were Miss Rita Conway and Miss Charlene Guercio, friends, and Miss Marilyn Schmitt ,a cousin. Both wore blue satin dresses, styled like that of the maid of honor, 'and carried rose mums. The pretty little flower girl was Linda Mann, niece of the bridegroom, of Wabash, Ind., who wore a colonial style gown of white satin and carried white and blue mums. Kenneth Frost, nephew of, the bride, served asrring bearer. Donald Doherty of Glen Ellyn, friend of the groom, was best man and groomsmen were Harold Schmitt. brother of the bride, Larry Phalin of Barrington and Charles Harty of Salesburg, Wis. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Schmitt chose a grey crepe dress with which she wore black velvet accessories and pale lavender mums. Mrs. Bassi wore , a purple taffeta dress .black accessories and a similar corsage. -- Dinner was served to fifty guests at the parochial school hall at noon and supper and reception were enjoyed by 250 guests after o'clock. . • The bride is a graduate of the local high school with the class of 1950 and has been employed at Hart, Schaffner & Marx in Chicatgo. The Bridegroom graduated from Crane high school in Chicago and attended Marquette University. He served for twenty-one months in the Army and at present is employed by the Pure Oil laboratories in Crystal Lake. After a honeymoon trip to New Orleans, the couple will be at home for the present with her parents. They had matching headpieces and carried bronze mums. John Wolowic, brother of the groom, served as best man and Raymond Wolowic. another brother and Richard Michels, the bride's brother, were groomsmen. Harold Michels and Ray Wolowic, brothers of the bridal couple, acted as ushers. • Mrs. Michels chose tor her daughter's wedding a teal blue crepe dress ,black accessories and a corsage of yellow mums. Mrs. Wolowic wore a wine crepe dress, black accessories and a similar corsaige. Breakfast was served at the bride's home following the service, with dinner at the Legion Home for fifty guests. Later, a reception was attended by 250 guests. The bride is a 1948 graduate of the McHenry high school and since that time/ has been employed by Tonyan Construction company, Mr. Wolowic is a graduate of the Libertyville high school in 1947 and served in the Army for two years, ten months of which was spent in Korea. He is now employed by the Hough Manufacturing company in Libertyvllle.
