The Warriors were slow in getting thr range in the first quarter as Woodstock moved into a 9 to lead. The boys were popping at the basket, but a free throw by Lawrence and side shot by Walters were the only shots that hit the net -- Warriors Hit --- ' McHenry's attack straightened out as the second quarter opened, passing got sharper and hopes grew bright. Walters hit. So did LaWrence. So did Aim to tie it up at 9-all. A long pass to Aim and his basket sent the Warriors into a lead that see-sawed the rest of the game. McHenry led 19 to 14 as the half ended. To give you an idea of the closeness of the game, the score was never more than three points apart during the last. half. Lawrence, who leds with 11 points, swooped a corner shot through the hoop late in tjie game to give his team a 35 to 32 lead. Wienke then hit a free throw, his only point of the game, to ifcirrow the edge to 35-33. A tip-in follow-up tied it with less than a nfinute to go. The spectators were on their feet and the rafters were ringing. Caution took- over for desperation as Woodstock gaine-d possession of the baVl. McCannon looked ovef the situation from the corner, then dribbled past the defense to sink the winning basket.
