In Auto Wreck Sorry to report about Arthur Stuhlfeier, who was injured in an automobile wreck in Aurora, on Tuesday, April 28. Mr. Stuhlfeier crashed into a telephone pole to avoid hitting another car which was coming at him on the wrong side of the street. His car was completely smashed. More Birthday Celebration* Gordon Thomson, entertained several close thums on Sunday in celebration of his twelfth birthday/ The strictly stAg party consisted of Johnny Rourke, Mike Watkins, Jimmy Ullrich, and Richard Mencel. After refreshments, the young lads took to the open field for a rousing game of soft ball. The revellers returned to their homes weary but happy. Two Day Party An unusual celebration lasting two days was the party supplied by Evelyn and Jerry Steinbach for their son, Johnny, on the occasion of his eleventh birthday. . On Sunday, Johnny was greeted by Eddie Caron, Bobby Cable, George Baumbeck, and Tommy Mortimer. The lads received cake and ice cream, and on Monday evening, the entire group was transported to the Woodstock swimming pool for a frolicking good time in the water, . Some celebration! Sunday afternoon, Johnny was pleasantly surprised by a visit from his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Justen, and his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Andersoh, and their children. Sailing For Europe Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ahderson and their son, Ralph (Ricttie), are being entertained at the Swan Born home for a week or ten days. On May 19, the Anderr sons will board the S. S. Stavangerfjord and sail for Norway. Their ultimate destination is Sweden, which they will reach by driving across the border since they are taking their car with them. What a glorious time of the year for an ocean voyage. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson are Mrs. Bom's parents. A New Permanent Resident Mrs. Lillian McCarthy has mov6d into her beautiful home which was recently renovated and will make McCullom Lake her permanent place of residence. Sunday Quests ' Betty and Frank Poledna offered their hospitality to Mr. and Mrs. George Poledna and to Mr. and Mrs. George Schuber, daughter, Rosalie, and son, George, Jr. Mr. Poledna is quite proud of his brother, Geofge, who is in charge of the „ La Grange office of the Bureau of Internal Rfevenue. Young George Schuber recently completed his enlistment at West Point, which he obtained through a scholarships to play with the band at West Point. Report On Carol Aalto So many friends and neighbors have inquired as to the health ct little Carol Aalto, who became so ill several weeks ago.
