Plana and arrangements were made for a dance which will be held on Saturday night, Jan. 23, At the Town Hall. Following the Meeting', 'cards were played and Refreshments served. ? Members of the Holy Name society of St. Peter's parish and some of their wives enjoyed an evening of bowling at Johnsbuig alleys Sunday night. Rev. John Daleiden and the fishers met at Jerry Miller's home on Wednesday night for ' their meeting. There was also an evening at cards and lunch was served. Mrs. Alice Claim of Lombard •pent the weekend with her daughter, Mrs. Shirley Dawson. A Day of Recollection was held at St. Peter's church on Wednesday for teen-agers. A nice crowd attended and all - report being very impressed with all sermons and services. The day began with Mass at eight o'clock and during the Mass all received Holy Communion. A breakfast was served in the parish hall after Mass, with girls of the seventh grade serving. Services were held through the day and ended very appropriately with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 4 in the afternoon. We are happy to report that Clarence Miller is again up and ground after an illness which Kept him confined to his bed for A month. Mr. and Mrs. J. Heinrichs of Des Plaines were Sunday visitors in the Frank Tinney home. The firemen were called out to a fire at the Harold Wiese home on Monday at 1 a.m. The Are started from a fireplace and considerable damage was done to the interior of the home. The Richmond fire department was summoned and between the Richmond and Spring Grove fire departments the house was saved. / Mrs. Frank Tinney and Kitty visited Mr. and Mrs. John Tinney and daughter, Laurie, in North Chicago on Saturday. Attendants were Miss Marjorie Phalin and Dr. A.C. Sibilla, the latter of Cleveland, Ohio. John Anderson left Tuesday night for Wisconsin to buy a carload of cattle which he will ship to McKenry end sell for dairy purposes. At a meeting of McHenry. Post, No. 491, American Legion, Tuesday evening, the following officers were chosen for the coming year: Fred C. Schoewer, commander; Peter Neiss, vice-commander; Henry Nielsen, sergeant-at-arms; rold, county delegates; of the Golden Rule Barbian, chaplain. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Freund celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on Sunday. The event took place at their farm home north of John«A>urg, with about sixty relatives, neighbors and friends gathered to spend-the day with them. Krift Last rites Vere conducted Friday morning for Mrs. William Krift of Wheatland, Wis., at St. Alphonsus church in New Minister, Wis. Taking part in the solemn High Mass were two nephews, Fr.
