McDermott was dear (excuse please) I mean deer hunting last week and came home with a small deer for his wife. Congratulations, Mac, and may yoti catch a bigger one the next time. Common Courtesy to Drivers A report has been given to me that if some of the children of the village would be a little more courteous to drivers who must pull over to the side of the road in the mornihgs to pick up riders on the way to work, perhaps a serious accident would be avoided. The children will have tHeir books and lunch boxes standing right on the shoulder of the road where the car must pull In to let the riders in the car and they will also stand and give the person the look, "Well go ahead and hit me." 5 With the snow and ice coming on, the > parents of these children had better warn their youngsters to stay back when they see a car attempting to pull to the side to let passengers in. This particular incident occurs near the big beach, and it is the older children that are guilty of this offense. Returns Home Ted Cartan, son of Lil Cartan, has returned home after being in Florida and. New York. Ted will not be going to school until next year.
