The meeting starts between 8:30 and 9 p.m. After the close of the meeting there will be an open forum held, at which time the public attending this meeting will be-permitted to ask questions of our village board. Everyone is urged to attend these meetings. Vehicle tags and dog tags are now on sale. These tags can be purchased from Veena Gustafsoh, the village collector. Due to the many complaints in the past week, the stray dogs .are now being picked up and are being taken to Dr. Fike's quarters. Anyone missing a dog may go there to claim same. The repair work on Highland drive has been completed and the road is now in very good condition. The residents are very well pleased with the work done. Ladles League News Last Wednesday evening the Ladies League held its monthly meeting in the Community House. At this meeting, plans for the Christmas dinner were made. The dinner will be held on Dec. 15 at the 120 Club in Lakemoor. Helen Para is in charge of reservations. >. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and 7:3Q p.m. Members are asked to bring with them a one dollar grab bag gift for themselves and their husbands. Cards and bunco were played after the meeting. The hostesses, Lottie Bransfoid and Helen Buchwalter, served jello molds and crackers and coffee at the end of the evening. Grand Opening Mr. McDermott has been very busy getting ready for his grand opening this coming- weekend. Bowling Match Sunday afternoon there was a match between tfi*e Lakemoor Hardware and the Charm House boAvling teams at the McHenry Recreation alleys. The Hardware won the three-game series. Congratulations boys and better luck next time to the losers. \ Birthdays This past week a few of the homes were busy celebrating birthdays in the family. Susie Steadman was 4 years old and Pam Kibbe was 5 this past week.. Our village president; had a blrtliday on the third but was too busy getting ready for his grand opening to celebrate. Mrs. Dennis Kossup's birthday was Sunday and Mr. Hyatt 'will celebrate hiB birthday on Dec. 12. Edward Kamin, Sr., also celebrated his birthday on the fifth.
