TVc Junior high school students took top honors in the state music contest held in Peoria last weekend and another three received second division ratings. 41 Ricky Piatt won a first for his cornet solo. Also first was Wendy Markgraff, who played an alto saxophone solo. Sara Borchardt, playing the same instrument, placed second. They were entered with third division solos. Playing second division, more difficult, solos were Judy Palmbach. clarinet, who won second place rating, and Valerie Peterson, flute, second. The school's annual spring band concept will be held May 20. HAIRDRESSERS MEET The Northwest Suburban Hairdressers and Cosmetologists will hold their monthly | meeting Wednesday, May 4, at the Lake Zurich hotel at 8 p.m. The program for this meeting is hairstyle competition for members of this unit.
