Diaper Line News -Two young ladies and ybune gentleman made news tfois past week or so with the announcement of their births. --Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michels welcomed a new grandeipn on Oct. 25 at the Wood- Mock hospital. His weight at jftirth was a healthy 10 lbs., 13 GEES. It is the seventh child for llarold and Lil Michels of Mc- Cullom I.ake. P.T.A. members of the Johnsburg public school will meet in the multi-purpose room at 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening, Nov. 15. Girl Sconts and Brownie News At their Qct. 31 meeting, troop 408 continued working :on their project. Mary Lynn Beyers supplied the refreshirofents for this meeting. This troop enjoyed themselves to fullest at their Halloween party held on Oct. 27. The girls and their leaders are planning an outing to the local roller rink on Nov. 12. * x The Brownies of troop 378 • made necklaces and bracelets t=frc~m corn at last Tuesdays Community Shocked by Sad News Residents of our community find it hard to obtain the right words to console Gene and Irene Wentz upon their recent loss. Their son, Ted Zelnis, was killed in an auto accident last Saturday evening. Ted, who would have been eighteen on Thanksgiving day was a senior at the McHenry high school. The Wentz family are residents of Jak-Ana Heights. Our sincere sympathies are extended to Mrs. Don Rosing Of Jak-Ana Heights upon tne death of her father, George R". Justen. Mr. Justen, well-known business man in McHenry, passed away at the McHenry hospital Monday morning. Around the Town Word comes this week from "Speedy" Thiel who entered Uncle §am's army last month. Marines agree that it's nice to be home for the holidays. They have come up with an enlistment plan that allows young men to join the Marine corps now and report for active duty after the Christmas holidays. Sgt.
