With a little "Civic Pride", the fewsmall holes and washboards that are now forming could be raked in with grayel from the sides of the road and thereby easing tj|e chance of larger holes and iMs forming when the winter's firsts, snows and thaws take oifet. If every available resident would grab a rake this weekaid and spend about a half hour to rake stones in the holes forming in the roads near hte home, it will lessen some of. the griefs and hazards of winter driving at a later date. 0 Idyll Dell Road? As taxpayers and voters, we seem to have no control over thp township road, Idyll Dell, leading into McHenry Shores frprn Route 31 and also Barrevitle Road serving the northwtst end. It was reported In this colii^ jn iict .Tnr>p 9. 1960," that Mr. Gaske had the support of hath the State and County to {EE a new road through and work would begin in about a nponth. Work was started -- need we say more. All we can do is hope that it will be better than last year when it was unusable for weeks at a time and one had to go miles out of the way to reach close-by destinations. It appears now that the road is in vjjfrse shape than it was a year a|o at this time. Perhaps a telephone call or calls to the Nunda Township Road 'Commissioner, Roy Geske, might help to get it graded or graveled before the heavy frosts set in. MSC Meeting Thursday, Dec. 1, is the date for the regular meeting of the ^®Henry Shores club which '"s to start promtly at 8 p.m. at the VFW hall, east of the bridge on Rt. 120. Dues will be collected prior to the meeting. The charter vote that was carried over from the previous meeting, nomination of officers, the children's program and their party are all on the agenda Don't forget the gift for y^r child or children. The two couples have presented four children to the proud grandparents. Both the MacCallums are retired school teachers and had taught in Chicago schools.
