Odds and Ends On Sunday, Mother's Day, Audrey Whitney entertained twenty-nine for the day, having a combination Mother's day and birthday party for Chuck's Mr. Gale In Hospital John Gale had a heart attack and is in the Alexian Brothers hospital at 1200 W. Belden in Chicago. He will be there for a few more weeks so any of his friends wishing to send a card to him may do so. Mrs. Gale is spending the entire day at his side. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gruner attended the "wedding reception held May 8 at the La- Salle hotel in Chicago for Mrs. Gruner's nephew, Jack Schaining, who was married to Mary Carol Wagner. Over 250 guests and relatives enjoyed the dinner. The bridal couple is honeymooning in California. The Gruners were accompanied by their son, Otto. Park in Lakemoor. The fire was confined to the kitchen. No one was hurt. The firemen were called out Friday, May 7, to 608 Columbus to put out a fire in an auto. The auto, owned by Mrs. Rays, was gutted. There is a correction on the election of officers of the firemen of Company 3. Cliff Miller is Lt. and MacDonald is secretary and treasurer. Back From Vacation Peter Gruedel has returned home after sepnding six months vacation in the state of California. While there he visited with his daughters, nieces and nephews. Attends Installation Eunice Tobey, junior regent, and two of the ladies of the Moose, Alice Kowal and Marcelle Carlson, attended the installation of the men officers of the Moose Sunday, May 9. Eunice played the piano for the installation.
