Six classic rodoo events are scheduled including dangerous wild Brahma bull riding. Wauconda takes on a western flavor again this year when the annual WaiVonda Rodeo takes place 011 July 9, 10. 11. Last year's R.C.A. (Rodeo Cowboy Association, Inc.) rodeo held in Wauconda was the first, professional rodeo ever held jji this area. Though the rodeo is only one year old in Wauconda, it already has become, known as one of the best attractions of its type in Northern Illinois. A landowner or tenant who lives on farm or forest land located in a county open to deer hunting is entitled to one free deer permit, valid only on the property where the deer hunter resides. Free permits will be issued until the season begins.. The 6-day shotgun deer season is divided into two portions. The first is from Nov. 19 through Nov. 21, and the second is from Dec. 3 through Dec. 5. Only Illinois residents may hunt deer. The bow and arrow season for deer will be from Oct. 1 through Nov. 15 and from Nov. 24 through Dec. 31, except Nov. 30 through Dec. 6, inclusive, _the Illinois Department of Conservation has announced. St. Clair, Madison, Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane and Lake counties will be closed for bow and arrow deer hunting. All other Illinois counties will be open for bow and arrow deer hunting. Permits will not be mailed to hunters before Sept. 1. Since anyone who applies will receive a permit, no letters of confirmation will be mailed to the applicants. Blanket permits will not be issued to duck hunting clubs. Each club member must apply for his own permit. In addition to the special permit, each hunter must have a valid Illinois hunting licensc and a 1965 Federal "duck" stamp in his possession when hunting teal. The season for blue-winged and green-winged, teal has been set for Sept. 18 through Sept. 26. The daily bag limit is four teal and the possession limit is eight teal, except that on the first day of the season both limits are the same, four teal. In the application the hunter must state his name, address and county of residence. If he has a blind on any public water managed for duck hunting by the Department of "Conservation, he should include the name of the area and his blind number. ON' DEAN'S LIST Gary Charles Vycital, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vycital, 3413 W. Waukegan Road, McHenry, is one of 160 College of St. Thomas students appearing on the dean's honor list for the 1965 spring semester. A student whose average for the semester is 3.25 or higher is placed on the list. Vycital, a sophomore majoring in math, is a 1963 graduate of Marian high school. Brazil and Spain are each equi-distant from Dakar, West Africa. CHORAL GROUP NAMES OFFICERS; HOLDS REHEARSALS At the recent annual meeting of the Northern Illinois Choral Association, Raymond W. Peirce of Crystal Lake was unanimously re-elected as president for another term. Mr. Peirce, a long-time resident of Crystal Lake, has served as president of the Choral Association since its formal organization over a year ago. Assisting Mr. Peirce in the position of vice-president will be Robert R. Hilgoe, also of Crystal Lake. Re-elected for the coming season were Mrs. Marian Ackerman as treasurer, Mrs. Ruth MacKusick as secretary, and Dr. R. S. Loewenherz as music chairman. Co-chairmen were elected tohead the membership committee this season. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wallace, both members of the chorus, will work together as membership chairmen.
