Knroute then went to Calgary, on to Lethbridge and from there to Nelson, B.C., to visit brother, VVilford St. Dennis, whom Mary had not seen in 40 years. They would have had to go through Cascade Mountain to got to the home of brother, Alex, arid since Mary could not move the mountain, and had no desire to climb it, Alex came from Dawson Creek to see them • after 43 years of separation. Forgot to ask if he came by mule/train! They visited Raymond (the baby brother* in Trail, B. C.. and the fourth brother in Fruitvale, B. C. Mary had not seen Raymond for 30 years and John for IS. All four brothers are married and have families all of whom Mary had never seen before. One of the highlights of this reunion was dancing, for the first time, with her brothers at an American Legion dance in Roslyn, B.C. The next trek of the trip was a reunion of the four sisters, after 49 years ,at the home of sister Clara, in Kimberley, B.C., Sister Mabel came from Long Beach, Calif., to join them. "Clara went all out", says Mary, "with a delicious supper, all the trimmings and her best linen". She also took motion pictures - - which, of course, you will all have to get together again to see. This was indeed a memorable occasion. More Vacationing Sisters Adeline Zeiger and her sister, Dorothy Michehl, from Morthbrook, left Tuesday morning, July 6, enroute to New Orleans. Their first stop was Memphis, Tenn., where they were joined by Leah (their ^ister) and Bill Teufert, of Valparaiso, Ind. They spent two wonderful days at the home W Leah's daughter, Sandra, •nd Dick Ousley, in Memphis, and then on to New Orleans inhere they stayed the remainder of their vacation with brother John Laschinski, his wife, £sta, and their two teenagers, Nancy and Robert. Arriving At John's home Friday, at 3:30 p.m., they spent the remainder <>f that day visiting. Saturday they all went fishing and, believe it or not, caught enough fish to have a gwxl fish dinner Saturday night. ' Adeline and Dorothy toured the French Quarter twice, frhey enjoyed watching the artists painting scenery and portraits. There was not enough time to have their portrait painted as there was too much to see--and besides, they had to get back to have a scrabble tournament every night with the family. Adeline said she enjoyed the special coffee they served in the French Quarter--it tasted like ovaltine. No wonder she is still fleepy! They went on a bus tour of the City of New Orleans and returned home tired, but happy, Friday, July 16. Pari-Nuptial Vicki Jesski, daughter of Barbara and Florian Jesski, •vas married Saturday, July 17, to Gary Krispin, of Pistakec Highlands. The wedding took place at St. John The Baptist Church at 3 p.m. The reception was held at Johnsburg Community Club. After the magnificent reception was over Vicki and Gary started out for a one week honeymoon in the direction of Michigan with destination unknown. Upon their return they will be living in an apartment in Johnsburg. Vicki will resume her position where she and Gary work together in Skokie. Best wishes for a future of unblemished' happiness. Get The Points? On July 12. Team 1 < Palmer and Olsen i trounced Team 2 (Farley and Simmons* by 16 strokes. Although Mel took an unmentionable number of strokes on the third hole ho sunk a 40 foot putt on the sixth to somewhat make up for number thi'eo. Team 3 ( Salaz and Herman I played their best golf of the season (and were rewarded on the ninth hole i in beating Team 4 (Fail and Pritchai-d i by one stroke. To date this was the closest match of the season . . and all four were wringing wet it the conclusion. Since the July 19 game you can look for a big grin on Carl's face (and a bigger sign on the doori since he and Art beat Harold and Jerry by five strokes. This was a real grudge match and will probably be bigger next time! Even though Harold managed to beat Carl by one stroke in their personal "feud" Carl did a good job "Reading HIS Book"! Everyone claims they will end up in first place, and with seven matches left this is quite possible. Those trophies are going to look mighty pretty on somebody's shelf (or Guncase). Well! maybe next year . . . The boys are hoping to add a few teams next season anyone interested? And how about. the ladies? It was almost dark when Teams 2 and 4 reached the club house after what had to be the best match of the year, by virtue of a missed six-inch putt on the last hole (we will not say who) Don and Bill managed to tie Mel and Jim. This lbaves the standing as follows: Team 4-11 points, Team 3 8 points, Team 1 8 points and Team 2 5 points. Cousins' Hawaiian Luau The Kennebeefts, Carol and Art, along with ten other couples (all cousins on Carol's side of the family) attended a Hawaiian Luau at the home of Rosemary and Jim Rega. Hickory Hills, Oak Lawn, Saturday, July 17. The Rega home was decorated in typical Hawaiian atmosphere - - with signs all through the house -- leading to the yard which was aglow with torches, boards and pillows to sit on (on the ground), hand-made palm trees (by Rosemary's talented artistry) and floating lilies in the swimming pool. All were dressed in native costume - including straw hats and leis. Music was piped into the yard, which inspired Carol to do the hula-hula . . . between sips of punch? Mr. and Mrs. Prell of Sunset drive took their children to the loop to see a current movie which they enjoyed very much. After the movie they decided to take in one of their favorite restaurants. " Reunion A reunion was held last Sunday at the home of Charles Prokop on Riverview drive. Obviously every one had a wonderful time and to top it off Mrs. Prokop's sister and two daughters, Mrs. H. H. Surgery We have the good news that Joe Camerotta will be coming home Thursday from St. Elizabeth hospital in Chicago where he underwent eye surgery last Friday. Mrs. Camerotta took the opportunity to visit their daughter ana family in Palatine for a ffcw days. Returned Home Carol LaBay returned hotpe from a week's vacation with her cousins in Crystal Falls, Mich.
