A|ter the minutes were read Alma Hueckstaedt read the audit committee's report. Members of this committee were Alma Hueckstaedt/ Connie Johnson and Maurice Haines. After the report Lawrence turned the meeting over to Lee Bassi, installing chairman. Those installed were Bud Hueckstaedt president, Bob LoPresti, first vice president, Harry Neumann, second vice-president, Marion Leske, treasurer, and Diane Fuhler, secretary. Lee Bassi did a very nice job of installation chairman. Val Fradinardo then presented 1he outgoing officers a gift certificate in gratitude for their work well done for the association. Those outgoing officers are Vern Ehredt, president, Lawrence Schuerr, first vice-president,Herb Polinski, second vice-president, Pearle Stineman, treasurer and Ruth Young secretary. Those on the board of directors to fill out the remainder of the year are Lee Bassi, Lewis Besserud, Fred Fradinardo, Connie Johnson and Louis Schueler. Election of board of directors will take place in October. Those elected to offices will hold office for two years 1967-68. Road committee chairman is Bob Prange. Southside. • Auxiliary Hews The Woman's auxiliary held its monthly meeting Monday, Jan. 9. Alma Huecksteadt, chairman of the Christmas bazaar, gave her final report. The bazaar was a huge success. Several other items were discussed at the meeting. At this meeting Lill Neumann resigned as treasurer of the auxiliary. Winner of the monthly prize was Lee Bassi. Hostesses for the January meeting were Lee Bassi, Tena Bellino and Toni Ehredt. The next monthly meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 6, in the dining room of Club Lilymoor at 8 p.m. Hostesses for the February meeting are Diane Fuhler, Ann Erismon and Kay Meyer. Beach Project Contributions to the beach project to date totals $790 from thirty-nine residents. A lot more money will be needed to do a good job. We have a very fine start. I am sorry to report it wil be sometime before Ronnie sees his new little daughter for he is stationed over in Vietnam. The proud grandmother is Kathy Fuhler. This is Kathy's fourteenth grandchild. Jan. 5-12-19, 1967) TRAFFIC DEATHS DOWN December traffic deaths in Illinois totaled 211, according to provisional reports released by the Division of Highways and the State Highway Police; This is a decrease of 17 per cent from the 253 deaths in the same month in the state for the 10-day Christmas holiday week decreased 47 per cent from the previous year. There were 47 deaths in the period from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2, compared with 89 the previous year. During the first six months of 1966 traffic deaths showed an increase of 19 per cent over those for the same period a year ago.
