I ™ • I ssusac £c z ****** CITY OF MC HENRY ILLINOIS WARD i i W A RAKOW £ ASSOCIATES CONSULTING ENGINEERS ELGIN ILLINOIS JANUARY 1967 Legal MC-27 AN ORDINANCE RE DISTRICTING THE CITY OF MCHENRY WHEREAS, certain territories have recently been annexed to the City of McHenry, and WHEREAS, such acquisition of territory requires the locating of such lands within proper wards as established- by the Council of the City of McHenry; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED, that Section 17, Article II, of Chapter 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of, McHenry be and hereby is repealed in its entirety, and amendments thereto, to-wit, MC-16, MC-16(a), MC-17(a), MC-23(a), MC-23(b) and MC- 24(a), are also repealed in their entirety. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in order to establish equitable and uniform districting of the City in accordance with population division, Section 17, Article II, of Chapter 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, Illinois, is amended to read as follows: 17. WARDS. The City is hereby divided into four (4) wards, the boundaries of which are defined as follows: FIRST WARD All that territory and area within the corporate limits of the City of McHenry described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Front Street (State Route 31) and the center line of John Street; thence Southeasterly along the center line of John Street to rhe Northerly line of Riverstream Subdivision,, being a subdivision of part of Sections 35 and 36, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence Northeasterly along said Northerly line to the Westerly shore line of the Fox River; thence Southeasterly along said Westerly shore line of the Fox River to the most Easterly corner of Lot 13 of Owen, Stenger & Allen's First Addition to McHenry, being a subdivision of part of Sections 35 and 36, Township and Range aforesaid; thence Southwesterly along the Southerly line of said Lot 13 to the most Northerly corner of Lot 14 of said Owen, Stenger & Allen's First Addition to McHenry; thence Southeasterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 14 to the Easterly line of Crescent Avenue; It included expenditures of $13,- 615.14 .earned income of $7,- 6.54.60 and monies received 53,549.99.
