CITIZEN GROUP TO DEAL WITH MENTAL PROBLEMS Establishment of a citizens' committee to deal with mental health problems in McHenry county has been announced by Arnold May, of Richmond. May and others interested intheim- < provement of mental health care for adults and children .have worked hard to develop ah organization that represents all areas of the county. May said the citizens are forming an Advisory Council for Mental Health in McHenry County. More members are needed. The long-range goal is to deal with problems concerning mental health and to inform the public of the ways help can be available to the mentally ill and retarded. The immediate goal is to work in behalf of the Community Mental Health referendum which will be voted on Tuesday, April 4. Establishment of a Speaker's Bureau to provide citizens with accurate information is one accomplishment so far. May stressed the new Advisory Council is not associated with any organization but will work with all groups interested in mental health problems, including the McHenry county board of supervisors. The board earlier this year unanimously approved placing' the referendum on the ballot for April 4. Meanwhile, a separate committee to work in behalf of the referendum in every township is almost established Under May's direction.
