SCHOOL BOARD RESULTS Two hundred and one voters came out to Harrison school District 36 to cast their ballots for two school board members, Saturday, April 8. Marine Bixby with 172 votes and Henry Setzler with 152 votes were pronounced the winners. There were also a few write-in votes as usual. THREE MODELS IN THE MAKING Cathy and Car en Cummings and Lynn Raske appeared in a spring style show that was held at the Ringwood Community church on Friday, April 7. The clothes were lovely, but all the young children stole the show with their freshness and antics. AMERICAN LEGION CALENDAR The executive board will meet Monday, April 17, with the regular meeting taking place on Tuesday, April 18. The post home is open Tuesday thru Thursday and Sunday from 12 noon to 10 p.m. But on Friday and Saturdays the home is open from noon till 2 a.m. The post is closed on Mondays. CALLS, CALLS, AND MORE CALLS I have received quite a few calls this past week concerning the dogs that seem to be running in packs. The callers say that the dogs are running all over the black top and it seems that at times it's almost impossible not to hit one of them. I must admit to a feeling of sadness, for the moment made all of the wedding preparations suddenly become real. Carol is being married in less than a month, yet it seems only yesterday John and I brought her home from the hospital. Hansel and;Gretel were last, and I smiled as I packed them. For they remind me of Carol and her young man. They seem such dreamy young innocents, but are really quite practical. Already they've solved many of the problems John and I never thought of until after our marriage. Yes, their path is well marked through the forest of matrimony. To be sure, they may have troubled times, but they share a deep and abiding love for God that promises strength and comfort beyond their own resources. With God and His church at the center of their lives, they cannot fail.
