Last year, citizens wanted to adopt a name in keeping with the location on the Fox river and settled on the current monicker. The water show returned to the agenda,, and this year the boat parade and Marine dance on Saturday evening of the weekend are being added. After considerable discussion at the Tuesday meeting this week, it was agreed to have the Building commission review the Annex and six other sites and present a recommendation at that time. If board approval is given, the matter would then go the the Woodstock City Council. Should that group also okay the recommended site, the matter would be settled. If it should be rejected, the proposed site would need to go to a county referendum. Anderson, architect of Bull Valley, spoke on the Annex site and stressed underground parking for eighty-nine cars and fall-out shelters. Supervisor Ward of Harvard suggested that the services of Mr. Anderson be retained and that he be paid up to $1,500 for a more detailed report on possibilities of the Annex site. However, State's Attorney Richard Cross stated that the Building commission could not, under legal limitations, expend money in this way.
