Rev. John E. Reuland of St. Aim's church, Warren, officiated at a double ring ceremony. White gladioli and daisies were used for the church decorations. Escorted Dy her father, the lovely bride chose an A-line, floor length gown of linen trim - sited with Venice lace. Two tiers of daisy-trimmed scalloped- edge lace formed the drirt and chapel length train, flowing from a tailored bow at the waist. Hie gown had an oval neckline and three-quarter sleeves trimmed with the daisy scalloped lace. Her imported illusion bouffant veil fell from a cluster of Venice lace daisies. HARRY MAYNARD Miss Nancy Kollenkark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kollenkark of Woodstock, was married to Mr. Harry Maynard, son of Mrs. Eleanor Maynard of Woodstock, in a nuptial rite solemnized July 15 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran church, Woodstock. Rev. Raymond Shawl officiated at the 6 o'clock ceremony. Hie young couple will make their home at 10703 Allendale, Woodstock. She carried a bouquet of daisies, orchid and stephanotis. Attending her were Miss Lorelie Vacula of Wonder Lake as maid of honor and Mrs. Nancy CNeil of Algonquin, Miss Kay Rasey, a sorority sister from Morton, and Mrs. Jane Kostal, sister-in-law of the bride, from Union. They were attired similarly in floor length dresses of citrus lime dresses of polished linen. The fitted bodices had a scoop neckline and threequarter length sleeves. A floor length panel hung from a bow in the back. They wore headpieces of matching fabric in cascading bow and butterfly veils. Bridesmaids carried bouquets of white daisies and the maid of honor carried white and yellow daisies. James E. Petersen, brother of the groom, of McHenry, served as best man and the groomsmen were Paul Morenz of McHenry, Teery Bahr of Warren, Michael Kostal, brother of the bride, from Union, Illinois. The ushers were Merlin Ramaker and Thomas Welsch, both of Warren. Mrs. Kostal chose a white Venice lace dress, street length, over old rose-colored crepe, with matching accessories. She wore pink roses. Mrs. Petersen selected a street length dress of bone white with an embroidered insert and matching accessories. She wore green cymbidium orchids. A hundred and fifty guests gathered at the McHenry Country club for the reception. The couple left later on a trip to Florida. They will return to make their home at 616 Johnson street, Warren. The bride is a graduate of Northern Illinois university, a member of Sigma Lambda Sigma sorority, and will teach at Warren Elementary School, Warren. The groom attended Bradley university and will continue teaching and coaching at Warren high school. The bride graduated from McHenry Community High School in 1963, while the groom graduated in 1962. Former Residents Named To High Posts In 40 et 8 At the forty-seventh annual annual grande of the 40 et annual grande rondevous of the 40 et 8, held in Peoria, two members of McHenry County Voiture and Cabano were elected to top offices in the organization, plus receiving awards for outstanding work in Cabane 578. Former resident of McHenry and a member of McHenry County Voiture 578, Hugh J. "Fritz" Sayner, Sr., was unanamously elected by the delegates of the 2nd district to be the Grande Che mi not of the 2nd district of La Societo des Quarante Homme s et Huit Chevaux. Before the closing of the 47th grande promanade of the 40 et 8, he was installed by Correspondant Nationale Joel Bunoh of Indianapolis, Ind. The 2nd district is the largest in the entire organization with a membership larger than that of the entire state of Wisconsin. The district covers Cook, So. Cook, Will, McHenry, Lake, DuPage, Kane, Kandall, DeKalb and Boone counties. Grande Cheminot Say nor has served the McHenry County Voiture 578 in many capacities including those of correspondant, publicieste, photographeur, chef de train, and is a past chef de gare of Voiture 578. NEW PRESIDENT At the third annual grande rendevous of La Societe des Femme's, which was held at Peoria at the same time as the grande promenade, La- Verne Sayner of McHenry County Cabane 578 was unanamously elected as grande president of the grande Cabane d* Illinois of La Societo des Femme's. Grande President La- Verne Sayner was installed by. LePresident Nationale Passe Edna Marshal of Waukegan. Le Grande President La- Verne Sayner is a charter member of Cabane 578 and has served the cabane in many offices including those of historian, publicieste, sous president, and is a past president of Cabane 578, she also served the Grande Cabane d'Dlinois as sous grande president for the term of two years. Cabane 578, much like Voiture 578, is a small group, but is a determined and dedicated group interested in child welfare, nurse training, Americanism, and local community projects. TTiis past year a few projects of Cabane 578 were the annual schlachtfest, proceeds of which were presentedvto Voiture 578 for an additional nurse scholarship this year, bringing the voiture's total of scholarship awards to thirty-three. They also held a birthday party for the voiture andpresenteditwith voiture colors. Cabane 578 also held a Christmas party for the voiture, and continually assisted the voiture throughout the year, including helping prepare food for the first annual out-door Wreck of Voiture 578. Cabane 578 also made a donation to the McHenry County Retarded Children's association as well as to the Carville Star (Hansen's Disease hospital in Carville, La.) for which they were awarded a Silver Certificate from national star directuer of the 40 et 8, Gabriel Borrowski. All in all McHenry county can well be proud of Voiture 578, "The little Voiture with a Big Heart," and Cabane 578 the little Cabane that helps keep the big heart beating. An added honor was received by Cabane 578 when Le Sous President of Cabane 578 Cleo Bough of Waukegan was appointed as grande garde Le Porte of the Grande Cabane d'Hlinois. (she is the former Cleo Siscoe of McHenry). A joint installation of Voiture 578 and Cabane 578 officers will be held on Saturday Evening, Sept. 16, at the American Legion home in Huntley. Installed to head these twof1 organizations will be John Costello of Lake in the Hills as chef de gare and Cleo Baugh of Waukegan as Le President of Cabane 578. CARROLL BECK Miss Carroll Beck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Beck, 1717 N. Woodlawn Park, McHenry, has recently graduated from the United Air Lines stewardess training center near Chicago. Miss Beck has been assigned to the company's stewardess base at Chicago's O'Hare International airport. She graduated from McHenry Community high school and attended the University of Denver. Miss Beck worked as a correspondent before starting the five-week stewardess training course. Her father is a pilot with the same Air Lines. Noreen Sanders, Miss Mc- •.
