Following the business meeting, fun for all will be on the agenda. A demonstration will be held. Try to be there and see what this is -all about. Don't forget to be on" time as the meeting will start at 8. UNCLE BAPTIZES BABY Yoartg Douglas Eric Sobiesk waa not aware of the fact, but he was baptized by his uncle, Father Martin Sobiesk. The recent christening rite took place in St. John's church with Mary Lou Thompson and George Miller acting as godparents for the infant. His parents are Gerry and Georgette Sobiesk of Beacon Hill Drive, and he has a sister, Debbie, and a brother, Greg. Gathering in the Sobiesk home for a celebration honoring the joyous occasion were the baby's grandparents, Bud and Rita Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sobiesk, also his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Freund. Others in attendance were Nancy Kay and Johnny Miller, Bill and Lorraine Rutzen, the George Miller family, Mr. and Mrs. James Sobiesk, the Ralph Thompson family, and the Stan Thomas family. BABIES IN THE NEWS Four little bundles from heaven blessed our town within these past two weeks. Three darling girl babies and one young gentleman were made more than welcome when they came to join their respective families. Bill and Jo Haag announced the arrival of a son recently. They are now the proud parents of three and three.. .boys and girls, that is. A1 and Mary Adams of Fairview avenue are the proud maternal grandparents. Michelle Anderson made her debut at the Woodstock hospital on July 26. The young Miss chose Lowell and Donna Anderson of Chapel Hill Road as \ her loving parents. She weighed a healthy 7 lbs. 12 oz. at the time of birth. Donna brought her home on Monday of this week. Scott and Dawn are spending their vacation with Grandpa and Grandma Anderson in Woodstock until Donna gets her strength back. Clara Adams, maternal grandmother, is very pleased with the new addition. As of July 30, the Harry May family consists of three. Harry and Marilyn became parents JG^the first time when Cristina Michele arrived at the McHenry hospital. She weighed in at a petite, but healthy 6 lbs. 5 oz. Waiting to make her acquaintance are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoist of DesMoines, Iowa, and Bill May of Johnsburg Road. This little lady is also very lucky to have a great-grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Hoist, also of DesMoines. Last, but far from least, is the new daughter of Ed and Cathy Penner of JakAna Heights. Measuring 21 inches from head to toe, and weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz., Barbara Penner arrived at the Woodstock hospital on July 31. This is the first child for Ed and Cathy. To all the parents and grandparents we wish to send our sincerest congratulations. Only you can realize the happiness a new baby can bring. WEDDING OF INTEREST William J. Tamasy claimed Joan Terri Spear as his bride in a beautiful ceremony performed in St. Jerome Catholic Church, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on July 22. The groom is the son of Bill and Irene Tamasy who are very well known to most people in this vicinity. He is also the grandson of the Joe Smiths of Johnsburg Road. A reception was held for the newlyweds in the church rectory following the ceremony. About 150 guests, including Jack and Ollie Keenan of Pompano Beach, were on hand to extend their best wishes to the bride and groom. They will make their home in Fort Lauderdale. PARTICIPANTS AT BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE Leaving by train last Friday for Washington were Scott Wiggermann, Greg Schmitt, Bobby and Kerry Decker. All four of these scouts are staying at a camp in Newman Lake, Wash., while participating in the Boy Scout World Jamboree. They are taken by bus each time they attend any of the various phases of the jamboree. GRADUATION PARTY "And cousins by the dozen", along with aunts, uncleg, grandfather, and etc., were in the Hettermann home on Chapel Hill Road to surprise Sandy last Sunday. Her mother, Mary, planned the surprise party to honor Sandy's graduation from St. Therese School of Nursing earlier in the day. One of the nicest surprises for Sandy on this special day was a dozen long stemmed red roses sent to her from her fiance, Dick Bowe, who is serving with the army in Vietnam. About sixty relatives and friends were present to congratulate the new nurse upon the end of her three years of schooling. AND SO HE WILL BE FIVE That's exactly what Bobby Hettermann will be on Aug. 12. Our best wishes to him on this day. ANOTHER AUGUST CELEBRANT Aug. 5 will be the celebrating time for Agnes Freilnd. Many happy returns of the day to her. CAMPING FUN. FOR ALL The Cahill and Wolf families joined forces again this yew, as they did last year for a week of camping. This time they traveled up into the straits and up to Mackinac Island. Needless to say, they all had a very enjoyable time. The ferry boat ride is something that will live in their memory for a long time to come. Here's hoping you all have a happy week. See you here again next time, I hope. Take care.
