They went on a thirty mile bike hike to Woodstock by way of Bull Valley road. Attending were Clark Bierman, Dave George, Ed Choate, Kurt Blake and patrol leader, Dave Wagner. This was done on Nov. 24. There will be a Board of Review next week on Dec. 4. We then practiced the procedure we will be going through on Parent's Night, Dec. 12. CONDOLENCES Our very deepest sympathy is extended to the Morrie Ketcham family on the death of his father, in an automobile accident last week. Our sincere condolences are extended to Bill and Marie Bleck on the death of their son, Joseph, in Joliet last week. STROLLING THROUGH THE PARK The big event has come and gone again and all who attended proclaimed the Snow Ball dance a social success as usual. All the ladies were radiant in their beautiful gowns and the fellows handsome. Even the band entered into the spirit of the affair and wore bright red jackets. Many of the dancers attended cocktail parties before and quite a few continued the festivities after the dance with bacon and eggs 'till the wee small hours of the morning. If yoa missed it this year you better plan on next year as it really was an exciting evening. All the gals from the Weinman's club will be getting themselves dressed up tonight (Thursday) again to attend the Christmas party at the Country club. This is their treat after working hard all year for the various projects sponsored by the Woman's club. Carol Cynowa is home again after a week in Springfield where she attended a seminar held for clerks of the State Drivers License Bureaus located throughout the state. They had a tour of many of the Government offices and had a most enjoyable time besides learning of all the new procedures used in the license bureau. , Tom Creutz celebrated his fifth birthday last Thursday, Nov. 30, with a group of his chums. Ice cream cake roll was served to Danny Veenhuis, Barbara Humann, Ray Roaeh, Bobby Basely and Beverly Hromec. After their refreshments they played games and won prizes, and in general had a great time. Tom's grandparents came for dinner in the evening to continue the festivities for the birthday boy. Mr. and Mrs. Skidmore of Ringwood and Mr. and Mrs. Creutz of McCullom Lake are Tom's favorite grandparents. Holly Worm has been a patient at McHenry hospital since last Thursday after she was struck by a car near the high school. She was getting out of the car on her way to College Night when she was hit. According to reports she is feeling better, and we all sure hope so. - A lot of kids have been skating and sliding on the ice at the lake during the past we6k and several reports of unexpected swimming parties have come our way. Although we have had enough cold weather to freeze and lake we've also had enough mild days so that it can be a precarious expedition. The ice should be thoroughly checked by an adult ( preferably a heavy one) before the kids have free rein. Parents should warn their children of the dangers of the ice especially those who get off the bus near the beach. Accidents have happened and it would be tragic if there are more serious ones than those than have happened so far this season. We've been pretty darn lucky sd far. Patty McCarthy had a repeat performance on birthday celebrations when Carol Harris and daughter, Jody, were guests for dinner to give the happy little gal more cause for excitement. She'll be while recovering from this last birthday. Hope that everyone recovers nicely from the latest flu bug that has been making the rounds and I sure wish they'd take our house off the list.
