Gail Buchanan Delente, brilliant young artist from St. Louis, will appear in a solo piano recital. Mrs. Delente holds the Ph.D. and Master of Music degrees from Washington university in St. Louis. She has studied on a Fulbright grant at the Ecole Normale and the Sorbonne in Paris and the University of Caen. Her principal teacher in Paris was Jules Gentil. She has also studied with Alfred Cortot, Robert Wallenborn, Jerome Rappaport and Sidney Foster. She was a finalist and gold medal winner in the Viotti International piano competition in Italy in 1965. She has been winner of four Young Artists competitions and has appeared as winner with the St. Louis Philharmonic orchestra, the Albuquerque orchestra, the Amarillo orchestra and in solo recital sponsored by the St, Louis Artists Presentation society. She has played on French National radio, for lecture recitals by Alfred Cortot, and in Concerts throughout France and the midwestern U.S.A. Taylor of Woodstock made a turn off Elm street onto Richmond road into a garage and his auto was struck in the rear by Paris M. York of Elgin. John S. Mazur of 2806 Old Oak drive, and Shirley D. Carlson of 2214 W. Manor lane, both of McHenry, were backing out of a parking lot on Rt. 120 and collided, causing damage only to the second vehicle. Suanne M. Freund of 1507 N.
