Members of cast and crew are hard at work to bring the characters of the old legend to the young audiences. This production will be under the direction of Neil Starr, a young man who has worked in almost every conceivable phase of 'how business in the last few years. Williams. Miss Williams appeared for the local club several years ago, and members who attended remember her as^ charming and amusing, as well as instructive. Mrs. John Schmitt is tea hbstess. The McHenry Woman's club is - again awarding three oneweek scholarships to summer camp. The students chosen by their instructors are Miss Karyl Koepke, 2415 North Club road, McHenry, baritone and bass trombone, and Miss Michelle Rasmussen, 4807 Barnard Mill road, Ringwood, second soprano and alto in music. These two students will attend music camp at Western Illinois university at Macomb. The art students are Miss Amy Howell, 1105 W. Northeast Shore Drive and alternate, Miss Marcia Dolby, 4406 Ponca. One of these students will attend summer art camp at Alerton Park. The value of such a scholarship was brought home to the membership at the last meeting when Miss Dawn Guettler gave a short talk on her experiences while at music camp last summer as local scholarship winner. She told of the intensive instruction in music, the pleasure of participating in the musical groups, and the good times. Miss Guettler also made her decision to attend the university where her camp was located. Her decision to major in music was deepened, and her required audition was eased by her music camp experience. The April board meeting will be held April 7 at 9:30 o'clock at the Methodist church hall. The McHenry Woman's club is a member of the Federated Woman's Clubs, and a local member, Mrs. Donald Gerlitz, is president of the Eleventh district. Mrs. Gerlitz would like to remind members that the annual district meeting will bs held on April 24 at the new Crystal Lake Country club at 10 a.m. This meeting continues into the afternoon, and lunch is served by the hostess club, the Crystal Lake Woman's club. All members are welcome and urged to attend. Mrs. Gerlitz would also like members to keep in mind the annual state convention in Chicago, May 6, 7 and 8. Nurses To Sponsor Maternal Child Care Workshop Locally SC Program Committee Busy Group One of the most active and busiest Senior Citizens club committees is the Program committee headed by Sylvia and Ronald Grayson, chairmen,and assisted by Viola and tyeorge Binder, co-chairmen. Chairman Grayson called a special luncheon meetingto discuss with the Program committee and club officers the tentative program) schedule which is being geared to meet the interest and tastes of all club members. A group of sixteen officers and program committee members attended the luncheon meeting, which was not only very enjoyable, but quickly and efficiently handled all the necessary details, incompleting the program roster, and are looking forward to similar meetings in the future. One of the very entertaining and enjoyable activities has been the formation of a kitchen band group, all of whom are very interested and enthusiastic. Practice time for the kitchen band has been scheduled for Friday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. The program schedule includes a style show, musical programs, hobby show, travelogues, art show, picnic and many other entertaining and interesting things. The 16th District Nurse's association is co-sponsoring a Maternal and Child Care workshop with the Public Health Nurses from the Lake Co. Health department, to be held at St. Therese hospital on April 14 from 3:30 to 10 p.m. Dinner will be served to those who have pre-registered. The workshop is open to all R.N.'s, L.P.'s and student nurses in the Lake and McHenry county. Anyone may attend the workshop even though they have foiled to register for the dinner. Plan on attending this inform- DISASTER PLAN MEET Gov. Richard B. Ogilvie directed stat2 agencies to prepare for possible major spring floods along the Mississippi River. Gov. Ogilvie said that flooding may be a certainty if spring thawing occurs as rapidly as it did in 1965.
