MEMORIAL DAY PARADE American Legion Post 1169 will sponsor its annual Memorial Day parade, Friday, May 30. This parade, the twentyfirst in a series that began in 1948, has become a yearly tradition at the Lake. Marching units participating in the parade will gather at the Wonder Lake firehouse on East Wonder Lake road, at 9:30 a.m. to be assigned places in the formation. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Route of march will be: south from the firehouse on Wonder Lake road, to Hancock drive and then west on Hancock to the Memorial triangle at Wonder Center. The parade will be climaxed with ceremonies at the memorial. Local civic, social, business and youth organizations are planning to march in the parade. Parade Marshall Robert Kiddell has extended a special invitation to all Vietnam veterans to take part in this Memorial Day observance. Crabill, former sales supervisor at the Chicago branch of Airwork, a division of the PAC group, has been named eastern region sales promotion supervisor for general aviation, it was announced by G. TWO MARINE CORPS PROGRAMS ARE ANNOUNCED Sgt. R.H. Blumel, the Marine corps recruiter for Lake and McHenry counties, announced that his office is presently accepting applications for enlistments of two, three and four years active duty. Some programs currently open are the '120 Day Delay Program' enables a young man to enlist and then take up to 120 days delay before reporting for active duty. This program is available with enlistments of two, three and four years. The 'Guaranteed Aviation Enlistment Program' guarantees assignment to Marine corps aviation school. Some of the fields available through this program are: Jet Engine Mechanic, Reciprocating Engine Mechanic, Aviation Ordnance, Aircraft Electronics Technician, and Air Traffic Control. This program is available only on a fouryear enlistment to those men who can meet the specified mental, moral and physical requirements. Sgt.
