Chicken will be served from 11 a.m. on, and will be done on an ad vanced ticket sale as much as possible. The meal will consist of V2 chicken, baked beans, baked potoato, slaw, roll and butter. Call me at 653-9045. HOME FROM CALIFORNIA TRIP Bev Ackerman and sons, Ralph and Rodney, have return ed to Ringwood after spending the past 15 days in California. While there, they were guests of the Bill Buttons and Cecil and Celia Baker, formerly of Ring- wood. Bev reports the boys thor- 9 oughly enjoyed viewing the Grand Canyon, even if it was from the Jet! That's a lot of open space. They also did a lot of sightseeing in Hollywood, San Francisco, Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Geysers and the Petrified For est. A weekend was spent on the Mojave Desert, with the highlight of the trip being Dis neyland, which they found to be interesting as well and most en joyable. The boys will have much to tell their classmates when school begins in September. ATTEND REUNION Saturday evening, Georgia and Roland Bauer, Jean and Jer ry Yogel attended the twentieth year class reunion of the Rich mond-Burton high school. That means Georgia and Jerry grad uated in 1949???? They spent the evening visiting with former classmates after a delicious meal. My, time surely does go fast, I guess mine is coming up next year too. We've come a long way, right, cousins? FAREWELL DINNER Bob's niece and her husband, Peggy and Jerry Strackbein of Lake Geneva, were honored Sat urday evening at a gathering of friends and relatives in Wis consin. The Strackbeins along with daughters, Stephanie and Angela, are leaving to reside in Arizona. Joining in the din ner and entertainment filled evening included Butch and Mary Leonardo Mr. "B" and myself from here, Mary Ann and Jim Wegener of McHenry, Helen and Lou Winn and Janet Solare of Richmond, Dorothy and Paul Nordgren of Wauke- gan, Georgia and Phelps Saun ders of Sycamore, Betty and Jack Leonard of Lake Geneva, Maxine and Dan Lawrence and Jean of Elkorn, Wis. We are sorry to see the Strackbeins leaving this area, but also happy for them, and wish them lots of best wishes to them in their new home. FIRST GRANDDAUGHTER FOR JACOBSENS Mr. and Mrs. Rick Schwan, (the former Petrea Jacobsen) became proud parents of their first child, a girl on July 12. POSTMASTER BECOMES I GRANDFATHER Our Postmaster, Frank Wiedeman, and Mrs. Wiedeman became very proud grandpar ents this month of their first grandchild, a boy. Jane and Butch Wiedeman became par ents of little Russell Anthony, who arrived in Florida, while Daddy, Butch, is attending pi lot's school in Atlanta.
