PLAINDEA LER PHOTOS CLEAN-UP PROGRESS -- Hard at work preparing to erect a high snow fence on the Charles "Chuck" Miller property, west of the city on Sherman hill, are members of the State Highway department. A heavy layer of gravel to the right in dicates the previous work done by Mr. Miller to cover the huge amount of debris which had been dumped on the property. The bottom photo was taken the previous week, showing abandoned cars which had been driven just feet from the highway "no parking" sign, causing a traffic hazard. The state promises a twenty-four hour patrol of the area. PG. 4 - PLAINDEALER- FRI. AUGUST 8, 1969 Fcfifi-CJoodLQlMLO. U.S. Savings ©! For most people stampede like sheep regarding medical ailments and fail to use their "horse sense." Half of the hospital patients should be back home in their own beds! And most of our drugs are just "window trimming*' to justify our medical fees! By - George W. Crane, Ph. D., M.D. , Case K-550: Arnold D„ aged 22, is studying to be a phar macist. "Dr. Crane," he began, "why are there so many drugs on the market? "Recently I counted over 1,000 different named drugs that are offered by the pharmaceu tical companies and I didn't even complete the entire list by any means! DRUG PSYCHOLOGY Dozens of splendid pharma ceutical firms put out essen tially the same type of tran quilizer, but "coin" their own trade name for it. Thus, we have many tran quilizers on the market, all for treating the same ailment.
