Dorothy Lense is a patient at St. Therese hospital in Wau- kegan where she had surgery. By now she may be home and on the mend. Birthday greetings to Foster Glorch, Jr., who celebrated his second birthday on Sept. 9 with the help of his mom and dad, Foster and Linda, and grandson, Leah Glorch. The Laskos had lots of com pany just before the official end of summer activities. Pat's aunt, Eva King, and her god child, Debbie, of Sacramento, Calif., were here for a few days and enjoyed the beach and the fresh air. Get-well wishes to Gene Mul len who has been on the not- so-chipper list lately. Several babies have added to the population count lately but have no information so must wait till next week. Please call any evening with news, or after three in the af ternoon, (providing you can get through). My time for phone calls has been shortened con siderably by five daughters who are as gabby as their mom. The Humann family enjoyed a long week in Hay ward, Wis., where we stayed with Buck and Molly Burger. The fishing wasn't too terrific but the %eather was superb till the last day. The fish started cooper ating a little better toward the end of the week and one girl staying with Burgers caught a thirty-one inch walleye. It seemed like McHenry North over the Labor Day weekend with the arrival of a bunch of people including Pat and Jack Slaughter, Lee and Ray Bujak, Jim and Bebe Crook, Chuck Pierce, Tim Farr, Jim Peter sen, Bill DeCicco, VinWeyland, and Bob O'Brien. Nick Groh and his mom, Lee Williams and three of his boys and the Doney family were there for the whole week and it was super terrific. SEPT. 12, 1969 - PLAINDEALER - PG. 11 PACK 131 With memories of goodtimes all summer, CubScoutPack 131 is ready to start fall activi ties. The trip to Cantigny was a huge success, as was the Cub baseball outing. The train trip to Chicago and the boat ride on Lake Michigan were well at tended. The boys and their fam ilies really enjoyed the den meetings at the state park, which was topped off by a rib roast there in August, seemed to be a favorite. This was the first summer that activities were carried all through the season and it seemed to go ov er real well. At the next pack meeting on Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. at the Meth odist church, Ray Bellon, the Weblo leader, hopes to be able to announce a special "Cub- Scout-only" activity. Refresh ments will be furnished and served by Den 4. The committeemen and den mothers have many new ideas for the coming year. They al ready have some new faces (both Cub size and adult size) and hope for a few more of each. If everyone brings his" own share of enthusiasm and cooperation it is sure to be a very successful season.
