VILLAGE MKKTING l)EC. 11 The village of Lakemoor will hold their regualr monthly meeting Thursday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. in the village commun­ ity house. All residents are welcome to attend. NEW STREET LIGHTS Commonwealth Edison will soon begin working to install some new street lights. The new lights have been approved and passed by the village board. SNOW REMOVAL There is a village ordinance which prohibits all night parking of cars on village roads. With the snow season here, the snow plows cannot clear the roads properly if cars are parked on them. 1970 VEHICLE STICKERS AND DOG LICENSES Stickers and licenses for the Village of Lakemoor are now available. Those who wish to purchase a special number on their vehicle sticker please call the Village Clerk, Pat Mor­ rison, at 385-6396 Monday thru Saturday, she will hold the num­ ber for you. When purchasing your dog's license, you must have his cur­ rent rabies certificate. She would en­ joy hearing from her friends and neighbors. FIREMEN - COMPANY NO. 3 The firemen in Company Three would like towishevery- one a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Company Three has finished its six month report, which consisted of fires they have handled. They report thirty- seven fires in six months. Out of the thirty-seven, fourteen were house fires, some of those being abandoned buildings,thir teen grass (fires and ten-mfs- cellaneous pnres. With tfi£ holiday season here it would be wise to check some of the lighting decorations which you use. A bare or worn wire on a tree can cause much dam­ age if neglected. The firemen hold their meet­ ings the second Tuesday of ev­ ery month at 8 p.m. in the fire- house. Drill meetings the last Monday of every month at 7 p.m. Officers are assistant chief, J. Sulak, Captain, J. Foute, Lieutenant, A. Heald, Secretary, D. Kinnerk. HOCKEY SEASON Now that the lake is freez­ ing, ice hockey will begin in a few weeks. Jim Krein heads the team in the Village of Lake­ moor. Along with the help of his team and a few friends, Mr. Krein has the backboards and other equipment ready for the ice. There are two teams, Jun­ ior ages, 12-15 years and Sen­ iors, 16-? At this time he is looking for some boys for the junior team. These teams will play in competition against oth­ er communities. The public is invited to come down to watch these fine bOys in action. Jones of Charlotte Avenue report their holiday entertaining consisting of a visit from John Proesch of Lawden, Iowa, and the fol­ lowing Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. John M.
