Gale of 5108 Hilltop, Wonder" Lake, who was ser­ iously injured, and Raymond J. Yetter of 4913 W . W onder Lake road. Gale was unconscious when taken to McHenry hospi­ tal by the Wonder Lake rescue squad. Yetter told police he was travelling northon Wonder Lake road about 40 miles per hour when the other car came up behind him at a high rate of speed. He said there was on­ coming traffic, which prevented Gale from passing on the left side. He attempted to pass on the right side and in doing so went into the ditch, flipped over and hit a pole. ' Mrs. W illiam Mueller of 4500 Parkway, McHenry, was ser­ iously injured Sunday at 6:48 a.m. four miles east of Crys­ tal Lake on the Crystal Lake road. She was taken by am­ bulance to McHenry hospital. Mrs. Mueller said she had taken her husband to the train in Crystal Lake and was re­ turning home when her car started to slide off the north side of the road. It ran into a ditch and struck a tree. Danny Ackerman of 2101 Del­ aware, McHenry, was ticketed for failure to report an ac­ cident to the police after his car struck a utility pole about 10:30 Thursday night. He told deputies the vehicle struck an icy spot in the road, after which he lost control. Ackerman suf­ fered minor injuries. The ticket was given when deputies check­ ed the road and determined that it was not icy. Williams street, McHenry, died at McHenry hospital at 10:20 Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, after suffering a coronary attack. Mr. Ewert was born in Chi­ cago Dec. 18, 1898. He was a retired milkman for Borden Milk Co. Survivors include his wife, Katy Valsted Ewert. The body was removed to the Matz funeral home, 3448 N. Central, Chicago. Pick out the broken threads, then resew with heavy cotton or linen thread coated with beeswax, running the thread through the old holes. Q. How can I clean ivory articles'? A. If these are all in one piece, they can be safely clean­ ed with soap and water. If, however, they consist of sev­ eral pieces glued together, it's better to wipe over them with a piece of lemon dipped into salt, letting the juice dry on the surface before wiping off with a damp cloth. Q. How can I make a good, creamy fudge? A. You'll need two cups of sugar, two tablespoons of co­ coa, !4-cup evaporated milk, Vcup corn syrup, one tea­ spoon vanilla, and one tea­ spoon butter. Stir sugar and cocoa together. Add milk and corn syrup. Cook over low flame until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for only FOUR min­ utes, then Remove from the heat. Add vanilla and butter.
