Sept. 10,1075) Local Mechanics Are Suspended For Violation Illinois Transportation Secretary Langhorne Bond has announced that five certified mechanics or lane inspection operators have been suspended for inspection violations of buses, trucks and trailers. The individuals were cited for issuing certificates of safety without following the porper testing methods under the Illinois Vehicle code and the Department of Tran­ sportation's rules and regulations. All second division vehicles (buses, trucks and trailers) are inspected at designated in­ spection lanes by specified mechanics. Both the inspection lanes and mechanics are certified under state law by the Department of Transportation. Action was taken against the following local individuals: Edward J. Buss, owner and certified mechanic at Buss Motor Sales, McHenry, suspended from giving safety tests for 60 days and lane in­ spection permit suspended for 60 days, effective Sept. 8; Duane P. Brossman, certified mechanic at Buss Motor Sales, McHenry, suspended from giving safety tests for 30 days, effective Sept! 8; Everett Fleming, certified mechanic at Buss Motor Sales, McHenry, suspended from giving safety tests for 30 days, effective Sept. 8.
